A few years ago, pop-up’s started appearing in creative hubs such as London, Berlin and New York. They took shape as temporary bars, restaurants, art galleries or fashion outlets, appearing for a limited period only, before disappearing again. Now you can have your own pop-up bar for your event.
Our pop-up bars are an ideal and cost-effective way to impress clients, employees, family or friends. We can come to your office or home, set-up a fully-functioning cocktail bar and serve exquisitely-presented mixed drinks to your guests. Our experienced team are all hand-selected from renowned and award-winning cocktail bars, boutique hotels and fine restaurants in order to ensure that you receive the same high level of service and quality – but at a more affordable price. We have a selection of made-to-fit options below, but if you would like a more bespoke service, get in touch with us and we’ll add some creative flair to your event. All quotes are inclusive of pop-up bar, bartender(s), glassware, stock/ingredients and ice.

Tastings – Whisky | Gin | Rum | Wine
Suitable for groups as little as 4 guests, one of our charming bartenders will guide you through a tutored tasting, including complimentary drinks and nibbles. Prices start from £25 per head.
Pairings – Whisky | Beer | Wine
We host regular food pairing evenings in conjunction with drinks brand and suppliers. To enquire about forthcoming events, please drop us an email or keep an eye on our Facebook/Twitter. 10 Dollar Shake can add that unique touch to your wedding day with a range of bar solutions from portable bars and bartenders to floating waiting staff and tray service. We can create bespoke drinks lists with premium brands and personalised cocktails, served by friendly bartenders who can flair and shake with the best of them. We aim to provide quality bars with competitive pricing levels. Our quirky product selection highlights some fantastic Scottish brands including beers from local and regional craft breweries, plus a great range of gins, whiskies and other spirits.
We have a service available for most types of wedding venues, including hotels, marquees and unlicensed halls.
Concession – Pop-Up Cocktail Bar (for Hotels and Licensed Venues):
n licensed venues with bar facilities, but without the option of cocktails, 10 Dollar Shake provide a pop-up stainless steel cocktail bar to sit alongside the main bar and serve delicious cocktails to your guests. In order to compensate the venue for loss of bar revenue, we pay the venue a commission per drink sold. The set-up fee is £750, inclusive of bar hire, bartenders and glassware (travel may incur a surcharge). Cocktails are priced relative to the venue’s pricing structure (generally £7.50 – £8). We would be delighted to liaise with your wedding coordinator or hotel management to explain the benefits of our concession bar.

Marquee / Outdoor:
If you are planning your wedding in an unlicensed venue, marquee or outdoor space, 10 Dollar Shake takes a holistic approach, directly overseeing every crucial stage from license applications (for cash bars) and drinks lists to stock and staffing levels. We use glassware rather than plastic and have 24ft of purpose-built light-bars (*surcharge applies) plus an additional 6ft industry-standard stainless steel cocktail bar, allowing for a multi-bar approach to the set-up. Our Tasting Academy offers a range of options for bridal showers, including gin/wine/Champagne tastings, as well as pop-up bars which are great ice-breakers.

If you would like to learn about the art of cocktails, book a 10 Dollar Shake mixology workshop for you and your friends or colleagues. Learn about modern-day and vintage classic cocktails, the art of balancing flavours and the background on some iconic brands, all whilst getting a chance to get behind the bar and mix your own. Each workshop lasts 90 – 120 minutes and is hosted in one of our venues.
Learn to make two classic cocktails perfectly with our mini—mixologies. Ideal for date night or even exploring your favourite spirit/liqueur, our mini-mixos are an intimate masterclass with one of our senior bartenders who will explain the history, variations and modern twists on classic cocktails such as the Daiquiri, Manhattan or Martini, to name a few. For £15 (inc. VAT) per head, you will receive a 45 minute tutorial by the bartender, with two complimentary cocktails per head, as chosen by you. This is hosted in one of our venues (*excludes Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm). Maximum group size is 4 guests.
For £25 (inc. VAT) per head, you will receive a welcome cocktail on arrival plus a further complimentary 2 cocktails during the lesson (non-alcoholic cocktails available on request). The workshop is highly-interactive and a great ice-breaker for groups such as corporate entertaining and bridal showers. This is hosted in our venue Bos’n (*excludes Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm). Minimum group size is 4 guests.
For £35 + VAT per head we have a new corporate team-building package which includes a welcome punch-style drink on arrival plus a further 3 complimentary cocktails per guest. This cook school-style workshop sees every guest set up with their own shaker, plus shared ingredients and garnishes. After an introduction to mixology by the host bartender, the guests are guided through a selection of drinks, mixing them in sync step-by-step. Non-alcoholic cocktails are available on request. Minimum group size is 4 guests.
We can also provide canapés, bar snacks and lunch/dinner – please request sample menus and pricing.
